Mark Gurman leapfrogs iOS19, call for jump to iOS26, and suffers a spatial anomaly

2025 is looking like "Last Chance At the Colloseum" from Ancient Rome to get it right. Creaking infrasructure with bolted on bits of old and new Siri and "artifical" and "intelligence" walking off in different direction at the same time.

Mark Gurman leapfrogs iOS19, call for jump to iOS26, and suffers a spatial anomaly
"I can see clearly now I've taken off my Apple Vision Pros, what's with iOS 26?" - anon

Except this wasn't new, Mark, and Gurman is opeating in His Own Private Idaho again regurgitating this as news, when it's been underway since November 2024 after the Vision Department collapsed under the weight of Dan Riccio, the AVP was scrapped, the Vision OS team re-deployed to help give Siri some much needed trauma therapy and the AI team found their OS "bolt ons" kept on falling off like bad bits of velcro. Somewhat like most of Gurman's predictions.

Personally I really couldn't care less what they call it; I just hope it works, now that the software engineering team, earlier in the year, did a huge mea culpa and admitted they'd taken their eye so off the ball with the internicine back stabbling intra-department that 2025 is looking like "Last Chance At the Colloseum" from Ancient Rome to get it right. Creaking infrasructure with bolted on bits of old and new Siri and "artifical" and "intelligence" becoming rather more akin to siamese twins seperated at birth and both wanting to walk off in different direction at the same time.

Since speculating about this from November 2024 when AI was obvioulsy about to suffer a coronary and Siri was quickly going down with dememntia, I can't wait >dry 🙄< to see what on earth "Over the Horizon" means for WWDC 2025.
